Prosoft Engineering In the early 90's, Prosoft utilized its extensive knowledge of device drivers and built an exhaustive device driver source code library. Prosoft licensed this library, known as Drive7, to Apple Computer and a number of other companies. Seeing the benefit of products and working on Prosoft's strengths in network engineering, Prosoft acquired NetWare for the Mac from Novell, Inc. in 1998. Prosoft's NetWare for Mac was a success and exposed Prosoft to the benefits of becoming a products company. In 1999, Prosoft made the plunge into creating its own products division, Radialogic LLC. Soon Radialogic released three products: Storage Master, built on the expertise of the previous Drive7; Chaos Master, a disk management product; and CD Master, a cutting edge CD authoring tool for Macintosh. CD Master's innovative technology was purchased by a large hardware manufacturer and developed into a major multimedia product used by millions of customers worldwide. You might be using it now on your computer! (purchase agreement forbids us from saying who actually bought the products but you might make a guess) After CD Master's acquisition, Prosoft refocused on its past strengths and devoted its resources to engineering services and creating future solutions for the NetWare product line. In 2002, Data Rescue was released, launching Prosoft's focus on expanding its product line and the move away from engineering services to a data recovery company. Prosoft Engineering, Inc. is a software company focused on data recovery software and other utilities which help protect and manage your important data. Prosoft takes pride in its award-winning products, excellent customer service and ease of use. Prosoft has distribution partners throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa. In June of 2010, Prosoft and The Data Rescue Center finalized the purchase of a building in Livermore, California, near the Lawrence Livermore National Lab. Work immediately began on the design and construction of the new recovery lab facility with a goal to be operational in less than a year. In late January of 2011, both Prosoft Engineering and The Data Rescue Center moved all operations to this new facility. Boasting a Class 2 UL-Listed Vault as well as extensive security features, the new Data Rescue Center facility sets a new standard in the industry for customer data security, unmatched by any competitors. The all-new ISO 5 / Class 100 Cleanroom exceeds all manufacturers specifications for cleanroom recovery environments. This new facility provides our recovery engineers with the top technology and innovation to recover computer data while offering best-in-class security features.
