This site has been active since 2004, but the demand for mobile stores has never been there, and is still very much in its infancy. With the growth in wireless broadband, and very low costs associated with bandwidth compared to several years ago, it is now possible to offer a better, cheaper and faster service to all mobile device users. Our company does not expect a flood of mobile users as we have been monitoring the site for several years and the appetite for mobile webs has been suppressed, as most other mobile site owners will tell you, but the option is there for anyone who needs a quick, convenient and cheap way of doing their computer shopping.

What you need in order to use the convenient ComX Computers mobile store.

• a portable device, such as a cell phone or PDA, that is GPRS or 3G capable
• Enable your GPRS or 3G at your service provider or via the web (Vodacom delivers your free GPRS settings to your phone through Vodacom4me.co.za)

Price and service cost statistics*

• We do not charge for this service - it is free to browse and use the ComX Computers mobile store*
• Our mobile pages are between 4Kbytes to 8Kbytes, including images
• With 1Mbyte*, you will be able to view between 128 and 256 pages

*bandwidth is charged by your service provider, and is approximately R2.00 per Mbyte anytime.
