Thonet & Vander is a company dedicated to developing, manufacturing, and marketing state-of-the-art audio devices in accordance with German production standards. T&V's history has always been closely related to the most outstanding principles and expressions of design.

The company was named after two of the early-century most renowned personalities within the design and architecture worlds - Industrial Designer Michael Thonet (1796-1871) and Ludwing Mies Van Der Rohe (1886-1969), Bauhaus Director and one of the most influential architects of the century.

Each one of T&V's creations reflects the company's long experience in the integration of technology and art. The company's source of inspiration is based on the conception of Bauhaus - the Design School that managed to reconcile for the first time an innovative aesthetic production with industrial machinery (in what ended up being referred to as "modern functionality"). Since its start-up, the company has always sought for the integration of all arts with modern technology with the purpose of giving rise to electronic devices capable of generating deep emotions. It is this concern what gives rise to the "state.of.the.art.sound" concept.
