Description:

The Ubiquiti U7-MESH is a compact UniFi WiFi 7 access point designed for reliable high-speed wireless connectivity in indoor and outdoor environments. With four spatial streams, a coverage area of up to 140 m2 and support for more than 200 clients, it is well suited to homes, offices, hospitality environments, commercial spaces and outdoor areas requiring dependable wireless coverage.

Its integrated long-range antenna system combines omnidirectional and directional antenna performance, while WiFi 7 support provides high throughput on compatible client devices. The U7-MESH delivers up to 4.3 Gbps on the 5 GHz band and up to 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, with a 2.5 GbE Ethernet uplink providing a fast wired connection to the network.

The access point can be wall mounted, pole mounted or placed on a table using the included mounting hardware. When installed with the outdoor mount, IPX6 weatherproofing helps protect the unit against demanding outdoor conditions. Power is supplied using PoE, with maximum power consumption rated at 13W.

High-Speed WiFi 7 Connectivity
WiFi 7 allows the U7-MESH to provide higher wireless throughput and improved capacity for modern networks. The 5 GHz radio supports up to 4.3 Gbps with 240 MHz channel bandwidth, while the 2.4 GHz radio provides up to 688 Mbps with 40 MHz bandwidth. Support for WiFi 6, WiFi 5 and 802.11n also allows the access point to work with a broad range of existing wireless devices.

The four spatial streams use 2 x 2 MU-MIMO on both the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands, helping the access point efficiently handle multiple connected devices.

Wireless Coverage and Antenna Performance

UniFi Network Management
The U7-MESH integrates with the UniFi Network platform for centralised network management and configuration. It supports advanced wireless management functions including wireless meshing, band steering, fast roaming and radio resource management.

Additional network management capabilities include Passpoint Hotspot 2.0, WiFi scheduling, client isolation, guest network isolation, Private Pre-Shared Keys, WiFi speed limiting and dynamic RADIUS-assigned VLAN support. RADIUS over TLS is also supported for environments requiring enhanced authentication security.

For guest access, the access point supports captive portal functionality with custom branding, voucher authentication, payment-based authentication, external portal servers and password authentication.

Indoor and Outdoor Installation
The U7-MESH has a compact cylindrical design measuring 48.5 x 159.5 mm and weighing approximately 313 g. It can be installed on a wall or pole, or used with the included table stand. The UV-stabilized polycarbonate enclosure and mounting material are designed for long-term use.
