Mobile Router Ultra
UMR-Ultra
Ultra-compact managed LTE mobile router for IoT applications with integrated LTE, wired WAN, WiFi, automatic failover, and DC power input support.
The Ubiquiti UniFi Mobile Router Ultra is a compact managed LTE router designed for IoT deployments, remote connectivity and locations where reliable internet access is required. It combines LTE connectivity, wired WAN, WiFi and automatic failover in a small enclosure that can be installed on a DIN rail or wall. With LTE Category 4 connectivity, dual Ethernet ports and dedicated mobile antennas, the UMR-Ultra provides a practical networking solution for remote equipment, backup internet connections and connected devices.
Ubiquiti UniFi LTE4 Mobile Router Ultra for Reliable Connectivity
The UMR-Ultra provides flexible connectivity through LTE, Ethernet and WiFi, allowing it to be used in a range of networking and IoT applications. Its automatic failover capability can help maintain connectivity by switching between available network connections when the primary connection becomes unavailable.
The compact enclosure is made from polycarbonate and aluminum alloy, making the router well suited to installations where space is limited. DIN rail and wall mounting options provide additional flexibility when deploying the device in network cabinets, control panels or other fixed installations.
LTE Connectivity and Mobile Networking
The integrated LTE Category 4 radio supports download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps, depending on network conditions and cellular service availability. A Nano SIM is used for mobile network connectivity.
Two external LTE antennas connect through SMA Male connectors, helping provide suitable antenna positioning for different installation environments.
Key LTE and antenna details include:
Ethernet and WiFi Connectivity
For local network connectivity, the Ubiquiti Mobile Router Ultra includes two Fast Ethernet RJ45 ports. Integrated WiFi 4 provides wireless connectivity for compatible devices and IoT equipment without requiring additional wireless hardware.
The router includes one WiFi antenna with an RP-SMA Male connector, providing flexibility when positioning the antenna during installation.
Automatic Failover for IoT and Remote Networks
Automatic failover makes the UMR-Ultra useful for deployments where maintaining an internet connection is important. The router can combine wired WAN and LTE connectivity, providing a backup connection when the primary network becomes unavailable.
This makes the device suitable for remote monitoring equipment, IoT installations, temporary sites, backup internet connectivity and other applications where network availability is a priority.
Compact Installation Options
The UMR-Ultra is designed for installations where a conventional full-size router may be impractical. Its ultra-compact design and support for both DIN rail and wall mounting allow it to be installed in a variety of environments.
The polycarbonate and aluminum alloy enclosure provides a practical balance of durability and compactness, while DC power input support makes it suitable for dedicated equipment and IoT installations.
