Description

The Goobay 3.5mm Jack to RCA Audio Adapter Cable is a practical solution for connecting audio devices with a 3.5mm stereo output to compatible equipment with left and right RCA inputs. With a 1m cable length, it is suitable for many desktop audio arrangements, entertainment systems and home stereo installations where a short connection is required.

One end features a 3.5mm male stereo jack, while the other end provides 2 x RCA male plugs for the left and right audio channels. This arrangement allows compatible audio sources, such as laptops, PCs and smartphones with a suitable headphone output, to connect to amplifiers, receivers and other equipment with analogue RCA audio inputs.

The Goobay Plus cable combines a flexible braided textile exterior with slim metal connectors and bend protection. Gold-plated contacts help resist corrosion, while the red and white RCA colour coding makes it easier to identify the stereo channels during setup. The cable is designed for analogue stereo audio connections and does not convert digital audio signals.

For best compatibility, check that the source device has a 3.5mm analogue stereo audio output and that the receiving equipment has a pair of RCA audio inputs. Buy the Goobay 65285 for a convenient connection between compatible audio devices and traditional stereo equipment.

FAQ

What is the Goobay 65285 3.5mm to RCA cable used for?

It connects a compatible device with a 3.5mm stereo audio output to an amplifier, receiver or sound system with two RCA audio inputs.

Can I connect a laptop to an amplifier with this cable?

Yes. You can connect a laptop with a 3.5mm analogue audio output to an amplifier with left and right RCA inputs.

Can I use this cable with a smartphone?

Yes, if the smartphone provides a compatible 3.5mm analogue audio output. Phones without a headphone socket may require a separate compatible audio adapter.

Which RCA plug is left and which is right?

The red and white colour coding helps identify the two stereo channels. Match each plug to the corresponding colour-coded input on the receiving equipment.

Does this cable support stereo sound?

Yes. The 3.5mm 3-pin stereo connector carries audio to the two RCA plugs for left and right channel playback on compatible equipment.

Can this cable connect to any RCA port on a TV?

It is intended for analogue RCA audio inputs on compatible equipment. Check the TV's connections before use, as some RCA sockets are outputs rather than inputs, and some televisions do not include analogue audio inputs.

Does the Goobay 65285 convert digital audio to analogue?

No. This is a passive audio cable, not a digital-to-analogue converter. The source device must provide an analogue audio signal through its 3.5mm output.

How long is the Goobay 65285 audio cable?

The cable is 1m long, making it suitable for short connections between nearby audio devices.

What are the benefits of gold-plated contacts?

Gold-plated contacts help resist corrosion and support reliable electrical contact when the connectors are used with compatible sockets.
