Wireless & Bluetooth Keyboards - Versatile and Future-Ready Typing Solutions

Wireless and Bluetooth keyboards offer the convenience of a cable-free workspace, enhancing mobility and reducing desk clutter. These keyboards are designed to connect seamlessly with various devices, including laptops, tablets, and smartphones, providing flexibility for users across different environments. Whether you're working from home, in the office, or on the go, these keyboards ensure a reliable and comfortable typing experience.

Key Features to Consider

• Connectivity: Choose between Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless connections. Bluetooth offers compatibility with a wide range of devices, while 2.4GHz wireless typically provides a more stable connection with a dedicated USB receiver.

• Battery Life: Look for keyboards with long battery life to minimize the need for frequent recharging. Some models offer up to 10 years of battery life, depending on usage.

• Ergonomics: Consider keyboards with ergonomic designs to reduce strain during extended typing sessions. Features like split layouts, cushioned palm rests, and adjustable angles can enhance comfort.

• Multi-Device Pairing: Some keyboards allow you to switch between multiple devices with ease, making them ideal for users who work across different platforms.

• Build Quality: Opt for keyboards with durable construction to ensure longevity. Materials like aluminum or high-quality plastics can withstand daily use.

Setting Up Your Wireless or Bluetooth Keyboard in South Africa

To ensure your wireless or Bluetooth keyboard functions correctly in South Africa, it's important to set the correct keyboard layout on your computer. South Africa uses the US QWERTY layout, which places the # (hash) symbol on the number 3 key and the $ symbol on the number 4 key. Many users mistakenly select the UK keyboard layout, which differs in symbol placement. To adjust your keyboard layout:

1. Open the Control Panel on your computer.

2. Navigate to Clock and Region > Region and Language.

3. Click on the Keyboards and Languages tab.

4. Click on Change keyboards.

5. Under Installed services, click Add and select English (United States).

6. Remove any other keyboard layouts, such as English (United Kingdom), to avoid confusion.

By setting the correct keyboard layout, you ensure that your keyboard inputs match the expected characters for South African users.
